Tara Toms is a multi-disciplinary artist, singer, writer, and improviser based in Pennsylvania. She performs long-winded, heavily-harmonized love songs and existentially euphoric linear compositions. Her improvisation practice emphasizes extended technique for voice, movement, and explorations in free association and automatic speech. She is involved in the presentation of modern minimalist and avant-garde works with the Open Music Ensemble. She also makes quilts.
